Prince William visited the site in July 2023 to view the nursery extension, glasshouse, and gardens. Revenue from the Duchy funds the Duke's public, private, and charitable activities. The nursery lies within the Duchy estate and is part of a long-standing estate operation which began public access in 1975. The site has grown through a 50-year plan. The nursery is among the South West’s most respected nurseries. Duchy of Cornwall Nursery continues to expand with garden center facilities while emphasizing nature-friendly horticulture.
