Facebook whistleblower Frances Haugen is back in the spotlight as a new film, The Social Reckoning, puts her account before the public. Starring Mikey Madison and Jeremy Allen White, the film recreates her choice to bring hidden documents to light.

Haugen told reporters she has "extreme worry" about a change in direction at Meta and believes Zuckerberg is pushing recklessly forward with AI. She said she hopes the film encourages more people to speak up, telling The Verge she wants it to spark a new wave of insiders speaking out.
