Josh Worrell, Adelaide Crows forward, who is a regular player, was in a minor crash that happened Friday before training session for the scheduled Gold Coast match.
The accident hurt a involved pedestrian, who authorities then took to a hospital.
Worrell was not arrested at the scene of the incident.
Teammates told reporters in the media room Worrell seemed upset after the crash.
Police now examine the incident as reported, and have issued a official statement.
The club has noted they will assess if Worrell can play in the game against Gold Coast, pending medical clearance, if fit, and will look at the decision shortly.
