Kirk Franklin performed at a gospel concert in Philadelphia during a special event. The show opened the city’s weeklong America 250 celebrations. During the performance, a man confronted him and said he and his wife were going to hell. Security stepped in and restrained him as the exchange grew heated.
Later, Wawa officials stated the concert had been called off and that there are no plans rescheduled. The statement was released after the incident and after fans found out the event would not be rebooked.
