A 7.4 tremor struck Mexico’s Pacific coast a little before 6 a.m. on Friday.
A wide tsunami alert was released for coastal strips along Mexico and Guatemala immediately afterwards.
The ground kept jumping, affecting towns further north into Guatemala and El Salvador as well.
Moments after 4 a.m., a 7.3 quake trembled the same area.
No reports of damage or cracked buildings came in after the warnings.
