Bandai Namco revealed the Mobile Suit Gundam RG XARX-ZERO and the RG Project vision on July 23, 2026. Filmmaker Kenji Kamiyama will take the helm for the upcoming anime, scheduled to premiere in 2027. The project creates a fresh Gundam universe, completely separate from prior canon. The XARX-ZERO is connected to the upcoming Gundam Rogue Orbit project. Kamiyama is working to build a new timeline for the series.
