The NFL is phasing out the annual Pro Bowl match after 75 years. The league is ending the actual game, but top athletes will still be honored. Players will still be named as Pro Bowlers to receive their annual honors.
Player honors will remain intact despite the elimination of the match. However, backup selections will no longer be acknowledged by the league. The ruling concludes the 75 year history of the annual game, but leading stars will still receive their official Pro Bowl honors each year.
