Governor Newsom signed bills to limit Immigration and Customs Enforcement ICE activities in California. The legislation include restrictions on the use of conductive gloves by officers and protections for immigrant communities. These actions follow a recent case where a young girl's body was discovered in a trash bin, leading to the mother's detention. The new legislation aim to address concerns about ICE operations and assist immigrant groups.
