Nine crew members from China were arrested for illegal fishing in waters near Yeonpyeong Island.

The coast guard received formal recognition for their work. They had forced out illegal Chinese crab boats nearby.

In another case, a prawn fisher from West Vancouver was fined $5,000. The fine was imposed because he dropped traps near glass sponge reefs.

Authorities say there will be no fishing for coho salmon in Lake Washington. This ban applies to anglers on that water body.

The Wuchang fish industry is expanding its reach too.
