A storm system in the Gulf of Mexico may hit Florida over the weekend. The National Hurricane Centre says the likelihood of it strengthening stands at 30%. May bring high water and gale-force gusts. Currently, the system is weak but might intensify before landfall. Torrential rain will hit most of the state. Experts are not expecting it will reach storm status for now.
